At Jenkins Baer Associates, we value the opportunity to grant internships to impressive applicants who express interest in gaining experience at our firm. JBA Interns assist our Librarian, Wendy Ward, as well as our Associate Designers; they also venture outside of the office for a fun and informative field trip — most often to the Washington Design Center in Washington D.C. This month, Project Managers, Kristina Kral and Sydney Hopkins (Left) joined Wendy and intern Kenya Moore (Right) for some exciting showroom visits.

{First stop, Lee Jofa/Brunschwig & Fils – pictured is the front of the feminine showroom}

{The illuminated wallcoverings were arranged in a cool way, displaying various pattern and textures}

{Kravet’s beautiful showroom featured lines Lee Jofa, Brunschwig & Fils, Groundworks, and GP & J Baker}

{Here’s a close-up shot at Kravet of this one-of-a-kind wallcovering and unique, subtle mirror}

{Beds stole the show at the Holly Hunt showroom – especially this gem}

{A sleeker bed option at Holly Hunt, decorated with neutrals and a hint of red}

There was also this chic, minimalist card table-esque setup that caught everyone’s attention}

{The next stop isn’t a hard guess – Robert Allen’s entrance hall makes a bold statement}

{Robert Allen’s fabrics draped along a display wall for larger scale visualizing}

{Moving along to outdoor furniture, the most memorable piece in Dedar is this exquisite hanging bed}

{Last but certainly not least was the Duralee showroom, accessorized to perfection}

We are delighted that our intern was able to join us for this visit to WDC. Tomorrow is her last day at JBA then it’s “bon voyage” to the pleasant, hard-working and intelligent Kenya who is going off to Yale for orientation as she will be a freshman student and lacrosse player this coming fall. We are so proud and excited for her. Like all of our interns, we shall stay in touch and remain an informative resource for design.

XOXO, JBA
